Parklands Bungalows

Parklands is the perfect location to enjoy a holiday in Norfolk. It's within easy reach of quiet unspoilt sandy beaches where you can walk for miles enjoying the sea air and beautiful scenery, and busier holiday beaches. Yet it is just out of the area of holiday camps, chalets and the amusements. Great Yarmouth is just a ten minute drive away. The Broads are right on your doorstep for boating and fishing.

You can hire boats and fish from the riverbanks at Martham, three miles away. Potter Heigham Bridge is six miles, a favourite for boat hire, Horning and Wroxham are within easy reach. The fine city of Norwich is only 20 miles away and the rest of North Norfolk is within easy reach for an ideal day out in your car, over quiet country lanes all around the coastline. It is a completely unspoilt part of the country.

Parklands has special appeal - 14 large detached bungalows, generously spaced, set in four acres of beautiful quiet parkland away from traffic noise. Your children are safe here with our large play area and people of all ages will love our little railway. We are also the ideal choice for pet lovers and your dog will always be made welcome. We are always improving and refurbishing. There is extra heating and double glazing for your comfort, modern kitchens, with a fridge/freezer and microwave. All bungalows have a three piece suite.

Parklands is in the village centre and is just a few minutes walk from a well-stocked Spar Mini-Market, Allens the butchers, Home made Bakery, Hong Kong Chinese Take-away, Village Pizza, Fish & Chip shop, ladies' hairstylists and a Pharmacy. A medical centre and dentist is on North Road. Hemsby post office is about a quarter of a mile from Parklands. St Mary the Virgin is a fine old Norfolk flint church combining both Church of England and Roman Catholic services.

All bungalows have the following features:

For 2010 'Blue Julie' & 'Blue Claire' will have a new kitchen, these two bungalows plus 'Blue Miami' will also have a new bathroom with a 'walk in shower' but no bath. Bathroom in bungalow "Blue Charm" will have a bath, washbasin and toilet plus a separate walk in shower and a new kitchen. Fitted carpets, fully furnished and equipped with crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils.

Heating: All bungalows have a large nightstore heater in the lounge and a smaller one in the main bedroom, £10 per week, where there are three heaters £12, (free during the Winter period) Blue Pines, Charm and Sapphire have an extra heater in the hall, Blue Dell has a heater in the lounge and both bedrooms. All have free standing electric fire in lounge plus extra heaters in other rooms, all have a wall-fire in the bathroom.

Sleeping arrangements: Two double bedrooms and a third with twin beds, sleeping six, in bungalows 'Blue Haze', 'Haven' & 'Sapphire' the main bedroom has an extra single bed, sleeping seven. All beds have a duvet and cover. These eleven luxury detached bungalows are generously spaced enjoying maximum sunlight and privacy.

Blue Charm - detached, 3 bedroom, with a garage - G Terms

Blue Charm - Same sleeping arrangements as 'Haze', 'Haven' & 'Sapphire' in the F Terms range but slightly larger with a garage. Sleeping seven.

Blue Dell - 2 bedroom, sleeping 5 - F terms

Main bedroom has a double and a single bed, second bedroom has a double bed. Fully enclosed front and rear gardens. Safe car parking in the drive.

Blue Pines - 2 bedroom, sleeping 5-6 - F Terms

Sleeping arrangements: Two large bedrooms each with a double and a single bed with a duvet and cover. Separate toilet. 

Blue Sandy - H Terms, Brand new bungalow for 2010

Sleeping for 6, 3 bedrooms
This bungalow is in a very sunny sheltered position facing South with patio complete with table and chairs. It is completely private, fenced on the East and North sides and a high hedge on the West side. The rear garden is completely fenced with access from the kitchen door, safe for children and your dog. Although adjoining Parklands on the North fence access is from North Road via a tarmac drive, ample turning space for your cars and there is a garage for you to use.

Accommodation
Large Lounge with satellite television, dining room, fully equipped kitchen in Beech, double doors to the dining room, fridge/freezer, microwave etc. Large Hall with wheelchair access from the front door.

Bedrooms: double master en-suite bedroom with television, the en-suite has a large walk in shower. There is a second double bedroom and the third bedroom has twin beds. Super luxury bathroom in Beech, walk in shower, bath, washbasin and toilet, heated towel rail. This is a very warm bungalow built to present day specifications.

Heating: there is a choice, four nightstore heaters (at a cost of £20 per week), or full oil-fired central heating available at extra cost. For normal heating there is a fan heater in all bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and en-suite, free standing electric fire in the lounge. Fully furnished and equipped to a very high standard. Electricity is by digital meter in the hall, £1 or £2 coins can be used.

A warm welcome awaits you on arrival, Nightstore heating and one free dog included in the price. Free nightstore heating is available to you during the Winter months up to April 24th 2010 and from October 16th 2010 to April 23rd 2011, including Easter, Christmas, New Year & October Half Term holidays. A £10 discount is available on full week holidays for two persons during the winter months and up to May 29th 2010 and from October 2nd 2010 to May 28th 2011, also one free dog on these dates, excluding Easter, October Half Term, Christmas & New Year holidays.

The King's Head Hemsby
Your local friendly tavern with a great atmosphere, offering good food at reasonable prices, only a short walk from Parklands. Friday night is Karaoke night. There are lots of places to visit within easy reach of parklands, collect your free leaflets from reception.

Parkland Miniature Railway
Sundays at Parklands is a favourite meeting place for all train enthusiasts especially for the nostalgia of steam trains. Trains run from 11 am to around 4 pm, weather permitting. They also run on Tuesday & Thursday mornings from 10 to 11 am during School holidays, mid week trains are mostly electric hauled with an occasional steam loco and run subject to demand, please check running times with the office staff. The miniature bus will also run on some mornings. The Miniature railway runs around the park and is completely fenced making it safe for children and pets. The Railway is a hobby of Don Witheridge and there is no charge for rides.

Pets Welcome
Your dog is welcome for only £10 per week (Maximum two pets) However you may bring one dog free during the winter months up to May 29th 2010 and from October 2nd 2010 to May 28th 2011 (Excluding Easter, October Half Term, Christmas & New Year holidays)
