Hemsby, near Great Yarmouth in Norfolk, is one of the top resorts
in the country - offering something for everyone. It has magnificent
golden beaches for sea bathing , sand castles or just soaking up
the sun.
In the centre of Hemsby Village is a range of shops including a
well-stocked Spar Mini-Market, Allens the butchers, Home Made Bakery,

ladies hairstylists', Pharmacy, and Joe's Gift Shop. A medical centre
and dentist is on North Road. Hemsby post office is about a quarter
of a mile from Parklands. St Mary the Virgin is a fine old Norfolk
flint church combining both Church of England and Roman Catholic
services.

Great Yarmouth is just a ten-minute drive away. The Broads
are right on your doorstep for boating and fishing. You can
hire boats and fish from riverbanks at Martham three miles
away. Potter Heigham Bridge is six miles away and a favourite
for boat hire and Horning and Wroxham are within easy reach.
The fine city of Norwich is only 20 miles away and the rest
of North Norfolk is within easy reach for an ideal day out
in your car, over quiet country lanes all around the coastline.
It is a completely unspoilt part of the country.

in one of the various clubhouses on the Holiday Parks.
For
a quieter night, take a short walk down North Road you'll
find the Kings Head freehouse, the ideal village pub,
with
good quality meals at reasonable prices.
On Beach Road is Bevans Restaurant offering reasonably-priced
meals during the day. The Highwayman Restaurant at Winterton
(about a mile away) offers great value-for-money restaurant
meals, bar meals and snacks at lunchtimes and evenings.
